MindBot’s idea is to support the worker’s motivation and engagement within the cobot-worker interaction in a flexible and personalized way, in order to facilitate active and positive job experiences, thereby preventing negative experiences of anxiety or boredom and apathy. The potential of work as an opportunity for skill implementation and goal pursuit is especially evident when dealing with populations who live in disadvantaged conditions, such as persons who experience mental health disorders.
The ACG’s role is to investigate how to establish a social interaction with cobots. Displayed emotions and their connections to internal social emotions are central to this approach and drive dialogue and interaction style of the cobot.
MindBot aims at identifying methods and implementing solutions for promoting good mental health in the emerging industry 4.0 within the specific context of manufacturing small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) that adopt collaborative robots (cobots) in their production lines.
