March 6th:  The intermediate representation of movements for sign language developed in AVASAG allows for the first time a highly parametrizable  generation of signs in German Sign Language (DSG) based on only one single motion capture of the respective sign. The figure shows some keyframes of the DSG sign NICHT in its non-inflected form (top), exaggerated by horizontally upscaling and translating the trajectories upward (middle), and minimized by downscaling the trajectories and moving its execution in front of the chin (bottom). The latter is an example of signing style when using small close-up camera angles, such as on mobile devices.
