“I never teach my pupils; I only attempt to provide the conditions in which they can learn.”

Aiming the same goal, we offer different possibilities to learn from each other:
Lecture Affective Computing. In the winter semester, we offer a special lecture on methods and techniques of Affective Computing. Get more information here about the last lecture. Check out also LSF for the next semesters.
Seminar How to Make a Social Computer? In collaboration with the chair Industrial and Organization Psychology at Saarland University, we offer in summer semesters an interdisciplinary seminar in which several students groups work on an affective computing application. Learn more.
Student’s Theses. We supervise bachelor’s, master’s and doctoral theses in the Faculty of Mathematics and Computer Science as well as in the Faculty of Empirical Human Sciences and Economics. These can be in collaboration with several chairs in both faculties (Mediainformatics, Computer Graphics, Industrial and Organizational Psychology, Social Psychology, Clinical Psychology, Empirical educational research), or independent.
Research Seminar. For those students, who are writing a thesis in our group, we offer an accompanying seminar. Goal is to exchange about ideas, problems and solutions with other students and seniors. Also, we will provide background information about scientific writing and organizational issues related to the thesis.
